Cyberbullying is a serious problem that affects children and teens with increasing frequency these days. The same negative comments and behavior can also cause problems for adults who spend a lot of time on the Internet.

As the parent of a young or teenage daughter, the last thing you want to find out is that your precious girl is experiencing cyberbullying online. While these types of bad behavior are far too common for everyone, girls may be especially susceptible to certain unpleasant actions and statements.

Some parents or guardians may still view bullying as nothing more than playground scuffles or a way to toughen up their sons or other young boys they know. These out of date and harmful ideas do not take into account cyberbullying and its effect on boys in particular.

The majority of children and teenagers report experiencing cyberbullying at least once in their lives. While it is impossible to control everything that happens on the Internet, unrelenting social and emotional attacks need a swift response to make them stop or get away from them.
